*May 5th 1993, three eight year old boys are brutally murdered.

*Incompetent West Memphis cops fuck up and 'lose' evidence found at the crime scene and decide that they know who the killer is before any investigation is carried out. 

*Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley, and Jason Baldwin are blamed.

*The evidence held against them?  Books written by Stephen King.  Lyrics to Blue Oyster Cult, and Pink Floyd songs they owned. (and while I wait for your laughter to subside), Black concert shirts - as evidence that they were capable of murdering three 8 year olds.

*Not one scrap of evidence can accurately pin these boys to the murders. 

*Numerous amounts of evidence can clear these boys of the murders.

*Jessie and Jason have been sentenced to life imprisonment without possibility of parole.

*Damien has been sentenced to death by legal injection.

It's not a recent case, but it's still there, and a clear example of injustice and basic narrow minded incompetence in our fucking 'justice' system. These guys have been locked up because the lazy cops had no fucking clue what they were doing, had a grudge against Damien in the first place, and don't wanna look like dicks by admitting they were wrong.   The families are desperate for donations to support the ongoing investigations and legal services to defend their boys, and there's a load of ways you can do your part in setting these guys free.  Even if you can't give any money, just go to the site and at least be aware of what is happening.  There's too much fuckin ignorance on this planet.  There's an awesome guitar on ebay up for auction - all proceeds go to the West Memphis Three fund, and it's got the likes of Henry Rollins Band, Rancid, Slayer, At The Drive In ... signatures on it.
